TEACHING

On February 3, 2018, I began teaching weaving to adults at the Studio at St. Mary's: Space to Create.  I have 8 looms and a lot of yarn. The plan is to teach 5 Saturdays 3 hours each week, so this session will end Saturday, March 3. I hope to have another session in April. 
I have been weaving for nearly 50 years creating both functional and visual art pieces. My art pieces are produced by blending painting and weaving to create an effect that tries to break the natural grid on the loom. I teach weaving too. For over 20 years, I have worked with inner-city children at the Neighborhood Art House, an after-school program. Last year I opened my own weaving studio to teach adults at the Studio at St. Mary's: Space to Create.
